According to wikipedia, an epidemic is defined as “a classification of a disease that appears as new cases in a given human population, during a given menistral period, at a rate that substantially exceeds what is “expected,” based on recent experience.” Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in today’s society and seems to be turning into an epidemic according to the definition above.
